The necropolis of Accu is Traias

In an area not far from the beach of “Simius”, south-east the centre of the town, it was found a necropolis used in a period from the I century A.D. to the IV century A.D.

Among the about thirty tombs located, only a few were still undamaged; it was possible, in this way, to study deeper their typology and collect the funeral outfit.

The necropolis, because of its long use in time, presents different types of graves: in cinerary urns, inhumation in graves and “enkytrismos”, a kind of burial reserved to children.
