The Old Fortress "Fortezza Vecchia" in Villasimius is a monument of great interest both from an architectural point of view, as it presents forms and typologies that testify the inventions followed one after the other in time, and from an historical point of view, as it is a witness and protagonist of the history of Villasimius in several periods. The best way to “talk” about this monument, after the necessary historical notes to present it, is to use the documents in the archives and the pictures as to give a complete presentation of the monument.
